Apartment hunting nightmare - guarantor requirement

Hey, I've been apartment hunting for the past 3 weeks and it's been an absolute nightmare. I keep getting rejected because I don't have a personal guarantor (連帯保証人). As a foreigner who's only been here for 8 months, I don't have Japanese friends who would be willing to be financially liable for me. The guarantor companies charge like 50,000-100,000 yen which is insane! Currently looking in the Kitakyushu area. Any recommendations for foreigner-friendly real estate agencies?
