Moved Tokyo → Kyushu and… people are TOO kind? Can't understand the dialect lol

Six months since work moved me from Tokyo to Kitakyushu. At first I'd freeze because I couldn't catch the dialect at all (「〜と?」「〜ちゃ」「〜やけん」) lol. But people here are genuinely warm — neighbors give me veggies, strangers chat on the street. Rent is cheap, food is great, honestly super livable. What surprised you about Kyushu / the Kanmon area, good or bad? Would love to hear.
